The Collenette School of Dancing was founded in 1926 by Beatrice Collenette, the first student and protege of the famous Anna Pavlova. Joan Collenette Damon continued the traditions started by her mother for the next 40 years. Emily Bratmon, the current owner, was a pupil and performer at the studio for over 18 years.

Owner, teacher, choreographer, costume maker and child whisperer, Ms. Emily does it all. With 39 years of dancing experience inside her feet, she has taken this wonderful school to the next level. The 3rd generation owner, she has operated the Studio for the last 18 years and looks forward to many more. Ms. Emily was brought up at the Collenette School of Dancing, dancing there until college at the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, Ca. She also danced with the Pasadena Dance Theater as a child, and spent two summers performing with the Salzburg International Ballet Company in Salzburg, Austria.
Ms. Emily believes that Ballet is a fascinating art form which promotes life-long poise, discipline, exercise and confidence. Her mission is to offer correct classical technique in a wholesome and nurturing environment. She offers small class sizes, individualized instruction, in a fun and positive learning environment.
